COMMUNICATION REMINDER – It is the responsibility of all supervisors/managers to ensure that their staff who do not have email access receive these type of notifications.
Providing transportation safely to our individuals is a top priority for Hope Enterprises. To further support this, we will begin installing GPS tracking units in each of our company vehicles. This will allow both the management team and the insurance company to monitor our vehicle performance and driving habits.
We plan to give our drivers a grace period of 4 to 6 months before a policy on violations and corrective action is rolled out. During this time, positive feedback will be given to reinforce safe driving. On the flip side, the GPS monitoring units will create an awareness of unsafe driving habits such as speeding, traveling at high speeds, unsafe passing, hard braking, hard acceleration and distracted driving (eating while driving, cell phone use, etc.). Employees will be given time to correct these habits. Please keep in mind that our current disciplinary process will still remain in effect as serious driving infractions may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination.
